ACA Systems, founded in 1985 is located in Eastern Finland amidst the great lake area in the town of Sotkuma. The town of Sotkuma is close to the university city of Joensuu, the capital of Northern Carelia. Developers and marketers of innovative measuring instruments for the global paper industry, ACA Systems personnel have extensive experience in papermaking. They are experts in finding new solutions for better machine runnability, improved paper quality, cost-reduction, and production increases.

EMCO was founded in 1992 by  scientists from  the Institute for Graphic Technology in Leipzig, Germany. There they had been involved in  the development of an ultrasound technique to examine liquid penetration in papers. This became the basis for the “emco method”. After applying industrial design criteria the emco line of DPM instruments for Dynamic Penetration Measurement was introduced. Ongoing development, in close cooperation with leading paper manufacturers and converters, has resulted in the present line of emco DPM instruments. Together with an extensive range of accessories the DPM33 meets all present industry needs. Although the emco DPM  is still the core product of emco, various paper and paperboard related specialized instruments have been developed in the meantime.

PROCEQ was founded in 1954. Its name is derived from “Processes and Equipment”. Thus the company is committed to provide innovative products for the testing of materials (building materials, steel, paper, wood) and structures (bridges, runways, walls, etc.). They excel in taking on challenging applications and providing solutions of high technological quality. The development of the PAROtester2 Roll Hardness Tester specifically for the web processing industries is a direct result of these policies. PROCEQ is ISO 9001 certified since 1994.

TECHPAP was founded in 1988 as the marketing arm of CTP (Centre Technique du Papier) in Grenoble, France. CTP is a large Pulp and Paper Research and Technical Facility with over 200 scientists involved in many cutting edge research projects including recycling, pulp processing and fiber technology to name a few. As CTP identifies the need for and develops marketable products, it turns to TECHPAP as the conduit to introduce these products to companies that could benefit from these applications. Because of the close ties between CTP and TECHPAP product updates are ensured as new technologies become available.
