Laser Formation Sensor
A laser beam is passed through the paper and the unit
calculates the formation index based upon a real time analysis
of the flocs. The unit is ruggedly built to be essentially
maintenance free. Typically used on the paper machine.

Formation Sensor
This formation sensor can run on a wide range of paper types :
cigarette, tissue, bleached board, kraft, printing, writing, non-woven etc. It can operate on
papers up to 400 g / m². It
displays and stores the look-through images of the sheet ,
formation index, floc size distribution, anisotropy, wire
markings and much more. It operates with machine speeds in
excess of 2000 m/min and is independent of basis weight. It
analyses up to 100 m² per hour.

Fiber Size Analyzer
Extremely high resolution of pulp fibers. Fiber analysis includes: length, width, curl, kink, coarseness, shives and fines.
No
capillary tubes to plug or distort the fibers. MorFi provides the
complete fiber morphology without error. Analysis is complete in
3 minutes.

2D Lab Formation Sensor
The 2D Lab Formation Sensor looks at a relatively large area
(120x120 mm) and can be automated to analyze the CD profile of the machine.
Individual measurements take 1 to 2 seconds. It can be used on a basis weights
from 10 to 400 g / m².

Print Mottle Analyzer
The KHEOPS Print Mottle Analyzer is a laboratory device that
can accurately assess the printing quality, notably a mottling
index and the surface roughness. The mottling measurement is
performed on printed paper
samples; the surface roughness on unprinted samples.

The Air Tester is a very accurate equipment for measuring the
amount of air in the pulp according to the BOADWAY method.

Dimensional Stability
Analyzer
The VARIDIM Analyzer is a laboratory equipment that can
perform a variety of tests linked to the hygroexpansivity of
paper. The system continuously measures the extension of
paper strips in a humidity-controlled chamber. Testing can be
carried out at any relative humidity between 15 and 90 %. The
unit is driven by a PC, that saves the measurements, displays
the results under various shapes and calculates the YOUNG
modulus. |

FRET
Sheet Former for Retention and Drainage Tests
The FRET Retention Tester has been designed to study
the influence of any additive on sheet formation, especially
retention, sizing and wet strength additives. The pulp has an industrial consistency. Additives are
mixed first. The sheet is then made very rapidly (less than 1
second). White water is collected for analysis or recycling.
Possibility to obtain a dynamic drainage curve, either on
recorder or on PC.

Dynamic Sheet Former
The Automated Dynamic Sheet Former is in principle very
similar to a paper machine. It produces rectangular sheets with
various fiber orientations and layered structures. |

Laboratory Sheet Press
The strongly built Laboratory Press allows pressing of any handsheets in conditions similar to those encountered on the
papermachine. It is best suited for rectangular handsheets
made with Dynamic Former. |

The Laboratory Dryer is designed to dry handsheets in the best
possible conditions in order to maintain sample flatness.
Samples are pressed onto a thick chromed copper plate by a
stretched felt. |
